JSC Grodno meat-packing plant has been working successfully since 1972 and during its 37-years history has obtained the reputation of a reliable partner and a leader of the branch. In 1972 834 tons of meat of all kinds and by-products of the 1st category, 206 tons of sausage products, 119.5 tons of meat half-finished products including ravioli were processed per month. All time long industrial activity the capacity was being constantly increased, technical reequipment was being held at the meat-packing plant. During the time a number of investment projects were successfully realized at the plant, particularly such as:
In 2001 a boiler-room produced by a Austrian company Berch Laska was put into exploitation that ensured the enterprise independence from the town heating station.
In 2002 the reconstruction of the heat treatment bay at the sausage-prepare shop was held, the package-washing shop was reconstructed and equipped.
According to the Processing industry of the agroindustrial complex developing program for 2003-2004 approved with Decree of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus of 27.09.2002 ¹1336 the JSC Grodno meat-packing plant was included into the investment projects list for 2003-2004. The plant has fulfilled all the measures stipulated within the Program.
For modern technologies and efficient equipment, ensuring competitive products processing application the necessary technical preparation of the manufacturing department is established at the enterprise. The reconstruction of separate processing departments has been held. Climochambers produced by the company Vemag (Germany) were installed in the sausage-culinary shop, the department on fresh-killed beef meat processing was put into operation, the technical products shop was reconstructed. The line on sausage products packing in gaseous medium was installed that ensured considerable prolongation of the products shell-life terms within trading network.
The line for pigs in skin processing constructed by the company SCHULTE (Germany) with the capacity of 180 heads per hour. The installment of the new line provided increase of the labor productivity while pigs in skin processing for 30%. The reconstruction of the production fridge and compressing shop was held that ensured modern technologies for thermal treatment of meat and meat products putting into operation, working conditions for the stuff improvement as well as considerable reduction of during norms while thermal treatment of meat. A new certified industrial laboratory, accommodation spaces for manufacturing departments’ workers have been built. The canteen was reconstructed and new equipment installed. A new line for cattle slaughter has been put into operation with its capacity of 60 heads per hour. The equipment was provided by the Holland company NAVI.
As a result of measures taken not only volumes increased and quality improved at sausage-culinary production, production price reduced as well as additional workplaces were founded, working conditions improved, the technological and sanitary production culture heightened.
The enterprise meets all the European standards and requirements, but in conditions of increasing and strict competitiveness at the meat products market the advantage of the Grodno meat-packing plant is its stuff.

According to the data of 01.01.2009 the productive capacity of the plant per month are as follows:
• meat of all kinds and by-products of the 1st category production – 2 000 tons
• sausage products processing – 1 500 tons
• meat half-finished products including ravioli – 400 tons.
The meatpacking plant produces and offers its buyers for sale more than 450 kind of products: sausage products, half-finished products, pork and beef meat.
Different kinds of vacuum and gaseous packing, packaging, serving cutting are offered. Besides the main manufacture the plant reconstructs the own agricultural enterprise Porechanka. The farm’s territory comprises 2 000 hectares, out of which – 600 hectares of plough-land. There are rivers, lakes, meadows, forests at the rest territory. At the territory of Porechanka JSC Grodno meat-packing plant is going to plant great bilberry plantation at 150 hectares of forestry and swampy soils with widening trends.

In order to town’s infrastructure developing and our country’s history keeping, paying tribute to wise forefathers, the construction of a wonderful agro-tourist complex Garadzenski maentak Karobchyzy conventionalized as landlord’s country estate of the 19th century was began in 2001 in 12 km from Grodno.
Garadzenski maentak Karobchyzy is not just an entertaining complex; it is a beautiful, bright example of Belarusian architecture. One may feel the spirit of people’s way of life, touch the amenities of virgin nature. It is a place for valuable rest. At the territory of 16 hectares with wonderful natural landscape, large and small ponds, there are forests inhabit by wild animals. This territory was noticed by meat-packing plant 7 years ago already. Firstly a power-saw bench was rented here, then this territory was bought and a construction of an original historical place was begun.
Nowadays there is a stable for horses and ponies of different kinds at the Garadzenski maentak Karobchyzy. A riding-house is situated nearby where under the trainer’s control one may ride a horse or a pony. One may go by a coach for an overview excursion with a guide who will tell about the diversity of flora and fauna at the Garadzenski maentak Karobchyzy. Newly-married couples may order a wedding cortege for a walk. For concerts and holiday actions a stage is constructed and 150 places for viewers. In the middle of the estate there is a territory where wild animals such as wild boars and deer are free. Visitors get the opportunity to watch them closely during the excursion. There are tens of exotic birds in the open-air cages at the Garadzenski maentak Karobchyzy. There is a arbour at the lake side where one may have a rest and enjoy pleasant atmosphere.
